The Department of Health and Social Services is now accepting applications to the 2016/17 GNWT Anti-Poverty Fund (the Fund). Up to $500K will be allocated to initiatives aligned with the 5 Pillars of the Territorial Anti-Poverty Action Plan: Children and Family Support; Healthy Living and Reaching Our Potential; Safe and Affordable Housing; Sustainable Communities; and Integrated Continuum of Services.
For the 2016/17 fiscal year, priority consideration will be given to projects within two streams:
Projects must demonstrate a collaborative partnership approach, and may be community-based, regional, or territorial in scope. The application deadline is Friday, June 17, 2016.
Eligible applications will be reviewed by the Anti-Poverty Advisory Committee, and their funding recommendations will be presented to me for final decision.
